Ruth Maust – Ruth joins us from Indianapolis this year as a PULSE (Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience) Fellow. Working with GBA’s Knowledge Network, Ruth is helping us to further develop the resources section of our website, updating project/product/service directories, and much more! She’ll be with us through July 2014 and so far has loved exploring all that Pittsburgh has to offer. If you need help registering your green building project or product, Ruth is your go-to gal! And if you would like to recommend additional resources on our website, let her know! Thanks for all your hard work, Ruth!
Clara Kitongo – If you’re involved with GBA’s Green Schools Academy, you’ve no doubt seen Clara around! She is our SCA (Student Conservation Association) Fellow through December of this year. Clara’s primary project is to help schools, businesses, and community members complete projects for our Green Apple Season of Service. She’s also helping with all things related to green schools, including monthly workshops with GSA representatives. Thanks for your work and great attitude, Clara!
Eric Yanders – A student at Bidwell Training Center, Eric is completing an externship with GBA as part of his education in the horticulture program. He has been working on several projects with the Green Schools Academy and has offered a great new perspective to GBA staff and members. We’ve been quizzing him on plants and horticulture since he arrived and he’s already taught us new information about our office plants! Though Eric is only with us for a short time, we’re lucky to have him on board!
Kurt Steigerwald – Most of you remember Kurt from his awesome work with our Green Schools Academy as an SCA Fellow last year. Well, we can’t get enough of Kurt and we’re excited that he feels the same way about us! He’s returned to help GBA in multiple capacities, from helping continue his work with the Green Schools Academy to assisting with the Pittsburgh 2030 District. Welcome back, Kurt!
Matt Huddleston – Matt has been with GBA for almost a year now and we’re sad that his time with us will be ending soon. An engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh, Matt will graduate in December and finish his internship with GBA’s Pittsburgh 2030 District. In his time with the program, Matt has helped craft a public policy narrative for the incoming mayoral administration, tracked District goals, and helped establish District baselines. Thanks for your help throughout the year and good luck on the next step of your journey, Matt!
A big thanks to all our interns and fellows for being part of our team!
